R.I.P. Carmine Infantino

Re-posting this because it will never matter more than today... I am dedicating this piece "Officially" to one of my favorite teachers at SVA and legendary comic book creator 'CARMINE INFANTINO'. The creator of the Flash we all know and love (Silver Age Flash), Poison Ivy, Batgirl, and many other well known comic book characters, passed today at age 87 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmine_Infantino

Carmine was a teacher of mine while I attended The School of Visual Arts in New York, NY. I absolutely loved his very straight forward attitude about comics and how to put one together the right way. I will always be grateful for his words and wisdom.
He is the teacher that told me I had "it" and that I should continue doing comics. "It," being that artist's eye for putting things together well, he told me.

I'd been wanting to do a piece for him since I left school and didn't feel my skills were up to par enough at the time to do a respectable piece for him. So with progression over the years came this piece. Hope he liked it.. R.I.P. Carmine Infantino (May 24, 1925 – April 4, 2013) http://fav.me/d1me2fa
